Position: Catering Event Team- Server
Job Classification: Variable Hour/ As-Needed, Non-Exempt

Reports To: Service LEAD or General Manager
Work Schedule: A Catering Team member’s schedule will be highly varied- hours are available as dictated by the quantity and size of the currently scheduled catering events. We are unable to provide a range of hours/ events to expect during any given timeframe. Catering Team members will be called with an offer to work an event as events become available. Team members will be provided as much notice as possible; notice time will vary & no minimum notice is guaranteed. Unless you have a prior commitment that cannot be moved, you will be expected to accept the hours offered. Once a Team member confirms that they will work an event, it will be considered a scheduled shift subject to the company’s attendance policy and shift-exchange practices. Evenings and weekend availability is required.
Summary of Role: Catering Server is an hourly team member who delivers thorough and thoughtful hospitality in a variety of environments. They are responsible for the proper, consistent, and timely execution of guest service needs. Foster positive team and guest interactions by embodying our core values. A Catering Team Member must have good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently within a team setting. This role should possess a knowledge and passion for food and beverage service. The ability to interact with guests and event hosts in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, efficient, and reliable is crucial to this role. The ideal candidate always exudes a high level of professionalism and hospitality expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare to and then serve event guests consistent to established procedures and training
• Serve geusts in a timely and engaged manner
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner, bringing hospitality to every interaction
• Preferred previous full-service restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Read, understand, and follow through with Event Orders
• Always follow food safety and cleanliness procedures
• Follow checklists and standard operation procedures
• Communicate professionally & efficiently with coworkers & guests
• Perform all side duties and cleaning duties as assigned
• Perform additional tasks related to operations as assigned by managers
• Assist with side duties and food prep when necessary or business volume dictates
• Learn the menu and communicate about it proficiently with both guests and coworkers

• Ability to function in a work environment that is hot, loud, contains wet and slippery surfaces
• Ability to work near and interact with extremely hot cooking surfaces and equipment including but not limited to the ovens and toasters
