We are seeking Hospice Volunteers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide comfort, support, and companionship to individuals who are in the final stages of their lives, a task both vital and rewarding. This is a non-paid volunteer position.

What You'll Do

  • You will be an essential part of our team
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to patients.
  • Assisting with activities such as reading, conversation, playing music, or simply being present to comfort the patient.
  • Accompanying patients on walks or outings if appropriate and desired.
  • Adhering to hospice policies, procedures, and guidelines.

About You

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You are in good physical health
  • You are able to pass a background check
  • You have transportation
  • requires a compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to provide comfort in challenging situations
