Job Description 

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Supporting the co-branded music content strategy by assisting in crafting the soundtracks to our brands; sourcing music and reviewing vendor submitted playlists, with a focus on discovery and trend
  • Intaking, tracking, and executing requests from all aspects of the business as it pertains to music and audio
  • Managing communication between the music team and our internal and external partners including industry outreach, scheduling, documentation as it pertains to social, influencers, and artists.
  • Researching song ownership and executing basic payment and invoicing
  • Diving into the interests and preferences of our customers by attending music events/festivals, conferences, and immersing in generational taste
  • Working closely with the Video and Social Team, you will help support by sourcing and presenting music selects and producing finished pieces of weekly and seasonal content
  • Identifying music trends in the market by monitoring editorial, social media, streaming platforms, music festivals/concerts, and building new relationships in the music industry
  • Working closely with cross functional partners, you will support events including The Challenge, any brand activations and partnerships, and any Home Office and Corporate services

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • A Bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, or related experience
  • 1-2 years of internship or employment at a brand, creative agency, record label, streaming service, radio station, or university
  • Basic understanding of music and video production and content creation
  • A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced global fashion brand
  • Passion for music, social media, and music discovery, and the Abercrombie & Fitch Co. portfolio of brands
  • A developing eye and ear for reviewing talent and music in the brand lens
  • A basic understanding of the history and trend of both music and pop-culture
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a proficiency in Excel
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed by the department
  • A basic understanding of Pro Tools, Avid, Final Cut, Premiere, and/or Ableton
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand
