Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the cages and the daily operations and administration of the vault, includes maintenance and protection of the Casino bankroll.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Monitors the performance of subordinates, ensuring adherence to Casino policies and procedures.
- Ensures proper procedures are followed in accounting for the Casino bankroll.
- Maintains awareness of all floor activity.
- Approves cashing of guest checks.
- Performs daily deposits and exchanges.
- Develops and implements cage policies and procedures to improve security and efficiency.
- May perform functions of subordinate staff as required.
- Assures compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
- Prepares daily staffing schedules.
- Fosters and maintains a positive attitude towards the staff, management and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the vault, cage supervisors and other shift employees of the cage. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Casino’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION:
Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and three to five years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL SKILL/EXPERIENCE:
