Job Description

As part of the US Client Marketing team, the manager will be focused on developing, supporting and promoting financial education via Visa’s Financial Football (Soccer or American Football) interactive gaming tool tailored to the Community Client segment.

Community Client Marketing Services is a growing business within Visa and delivers value to clients through a range of services, from marketing advisory to campaign deployment, via close partnerships with our sales organizations (Account Executives (AE’s) and Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA).

The US Marketing Services Community team is focused on supporting our Community, Processor and GSP clients develop marketing support across the lifecycle of a client’s portfolio.


This manager must be able to thrive in a dynamic matrixed environment. The manager will be results-oriented, flexible, and have a “can do”, positive attitude.  Additionally, the manager must have a consistent track record in working collaboratively with internal team members and external clients.  The marketer should be detail oriented and thoughtful when preparing materials for clients.  In addition, she/he should be qualified to communicate and sell directly with clients through conference calls, video conferences, or future in-person meetings as needed.

This is a unique role: the proper candidate will need problem solving expertise, excellent communication skills and executive presence, and a strong desire to drive improvement in how marketing drives the business. Responsibilities

  • This position will be required to first to develop a basic self-directed version of Financial Football (Football and Soccer).
    • The basic self-directed version will include:
        • A “What is Financial Football (Overview)” Guide
        • A Facilitator’s Guide to enable a client to on how to run the event independently.
        • Facilitator scripts
      • Financial Football program Access
      • 1 std./customizable digital creative
    • This FTE will also be available to consult for these programs and for onsite implementation of Financial Football Programs for incremental fees.
      • Incremental consulting
      • Travel for onsite facilitation
  • This manager must also promote this product internally to Community AE’s as well as clients.
  • She or he will also be a resource to promote fully customized version of Financial Football to clients.
  • This manager must also work with our legal departments to develop turnkey BIA’s and incorporate them into the CGAP process as well as work with our finance partners to ensure proper revenue and expense attribution.
  • Internal administrative requirements are as follows:
    • Collaborate with:
      • Internal legal stakeholders to develop turnkey BIA’s and incorporate them into the CGAP process.
      • Work with our finance partners to ensure proper revenue and expense attribution.
    • Pipeline management, tracking and forecasting through Visa Project Central (VPC-Pipeline Management Tool).
    • Serve as the team’s Community support lead for conducting training on newly released enhancements and troubleshooting any related issues with Financial Football
    • Support workstreams related to Community Financial Football annual planning, including overseeing timelines, managing inputs from team, and identifying areas for efficiencies/savings.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Superior analytic and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytic rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze financial models.
  • Strong process orientation, able to create processes from scratch and able to identify and drive continuous improvements
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. You are comfortable managing spreadsheets, devising formulas, creating pivot tables, and performing data analysis, while also building executive presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You create visually clear, concise, and insightful work product and are comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • A relationship builder who earns the trust and rapport of partners at multiple levels
  • Proven ability to thrive in high pressure situations and a fast paced and matrixed environment
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and quick to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Team oriented and collaborative, driven and resourceful, innovative and curious, positive and proactive, always looking for ways to do things better


Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,100.00 to 154,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
