In this position, you will be responsible for supporting aspects of plant production, from production scheduling and purchase order lifecycle management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Plant Management, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, and Logistics. Your keen attention to detail and extensive knowledge of supply chain management will be essential in supporting the facility’s production needs.

Responsibilities

· Schedule Development: Develop and maintain production schedules that effectively allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets and customer demand.

· Capacity Planning: Collaborate with production managers and other stakeholders to forecast and plan for future production requirements. Assess capacity constraints and develop strategies to address them. Identify opportunities for capacity optimization and efficiency improvement.

· Order Management: Monitor and manage customer orders to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address order changes, prioritize rush orders, and resolve other order-related issues.

· Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory control teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Monitor inventory trends, identify potential risks and opportunities, and propose inventory optimization strategies.

· Production Coordination: Collaborate with production teams to coordinate production activities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure smooth workflow. Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.

· Purchase Order Lifecycle: Own the entire Raw Material Purchase Order Lifecycle for the facility. From determining supply needs, Purchase Order creation to receiving inventory systematically to closing out the Purchase Orders. Continually review open Purchase Orders and proactively ensure that they are delivered on time.

· Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Collaborate with Our Home Corporate Procurement and Plant Management Teams to track and analyze production performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, cycle times, and efficiency. Generate reports and provide regular updates to management on production schedule adherence and performance.

· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance scheduling efficiency and overall plant performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field. (Desired, not mandatory)

· 4+ years of experience in production scheduling or planning and purchasing, within a manufacturing environment.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in the use of scheduling software and MS Excel.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning principles.

· Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
