POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day tactical operations of a primary warehouse and production facility, the timely flow of all goods, and optimization, control, and accuracy of inventories. This includes leading a team to ensure the smooth flow of goods to support production, shipping/receiving, developing coworkers, and attaining broader business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures compliance with all EHS policies, practices, and procedures
  • Lead, participate, and engage in EHS training, hazard identification, safety teams, and safety observations
  • Execute Continuous Improvement (CI) tasks, projects, and initiatives
  • Execute seamless flow of raw material and finished goods between work zones, warehouses, plants, and offsite storage
  • Maintain shipping/receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and ensuring adherence to program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting daily physical counts; reconciling with proper system; tracking performance against goals; and reports discrepancies.
  • Proactively works to ensure an accurate and balanced inventory
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning coworkers and equipment and monitoring completion of work products
  • Maintains team productivity by coaching, counseling, and engaging coworkers; planning, monitoring, and evaluating job result, and developing coworkers
  • Supports design of Standard Work including training materials
  • Review daily key performance indicators and ensure coworker understanding and accountability
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
  • Implement & train coworkers on SOP’s and Best Practices
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 4+ years or more of Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving/Logistics hands on experience
  • 4+ years or more of Warehouse leadership

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in the use of established Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • High detail orientation and the ability to synthesize complex information regarding shipping, logistics, and distribution
  • Flexible in relations with others and in the management of continuous change
  • Team-oriented management style with demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills
  • Manage positive daily contact with internal and external customers while completing daily work assignments
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Established Microsoft Office and related computer programs
  • Experienced in CI, Six Sigma, or Lean practices and procedures preferred
  • Development of Standards and KPI’s, Inventory Control and Analysis
