Hart Ranch Golf Club is looking for Food and Beverage Servers join our team! Hart Ranch Golf Club is located in the foothills of the Black Hills near Rapid City, South Dakota. The 18-hole course is one of the most beautiful, challenging, and fun golf recreation experiences in the area. We are in business to create happiness and goodwill in our community by Providing an Exceptional Outdoor Experience.

Food and Beverage Servers prepare and serve food and beverages while providing excellent customer service to members and guests. This seasonal (April-October), part-time position works 2-4 days a week (or 15-29 hours). Shifts are Sunday-Saturday with two different shifts available: morning shift (approximately 8:00am-2:00pm) and afternoon shift (approximately 1:00pm-8:00pm).

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Take and fulfill customer food and beverage orders.
  • Cook and serve grilled foods and prepare other menu items in alignment with food safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to fulfill orders.
  • Add ice to coolers and stock drinks, snacks, and merchandise.
  • Use the Point-of-Sale system, handle money and payments, and maintain cash drawer.
  • Wash dishes and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ensure bar surfaces and floors are sanitary and clean.
  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage products.
  • Place supplies in the proper storage spaces and maintain an orderly workspace.
  • Interact with members and customers in a positive manner.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Ability to prepare and serve food and beverages, including operation of a grill, while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to legally serve alcoholic beverages which requires an employee to be 21 years or older or an employee who is 18 years old or older when there is an employee who is at least 21 years old on the premises when the alcohol is sold or served.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and food safety standards.
  • Ability to lift and move food and beverage products in bar area and restock the floor.
  • Ability to speak to customers, hear orders and customer interactions, read and comprehend simple instructions, and write simple correspondence.
  • Interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, guests, and other employees.
  • Experience in food and beverage or hospitality is preferred.
