We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee AT&T and all activity with regards to projects including, but not limited to supervision of employees, project staffing, customer needs, workflow, SLA adherence, financial performance, timely invoice approval, quality control, and all other aspects of work related to his or her projects. The right candidate may be experienced in the CCI Systems drafting and design processes, have a background in managing/supervising a successful team, and will be able to work very well in partnership with our Engineering Services Leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, track, and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Liaison between customers and the internal operations of the project group. This is to ensure that the customer’s expectations are met and maintain goodwill for future business.
  • Create and adhere to revenue, gross profit, accounts receivable, and staffing forecasts.
  • Execute project implementation/startup and continuous production management.
  • Monitor projects to improve the quality of the work and to reduce the time and cost of project throughput.
  • Create and promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to employees, the public and customers. This includes ensuring that the service and quality provided to customers is superior to that of our competition.
  • Meet regularly with key personnel to ensure that information flows in both directions and to ensure that stated goals and objectives are met.
  • Track project costs to meet or exceed budget and control agreed upon SOW (Scope of work).
  • Ensure employees’ abilities are adequate for their responsibilities and develop training and cross training for ongoing skill development.
  • Assist personnel with interpreting customer drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct performance review for all direct reports. Does follow up on reviews with substandard grading. Create an environment in which the rating of an average employee is continually challenged. Create goals for employees during review and have mid-year follow up on said goals.
  • Review and approve employee timesheets each Friday – required for proper accrual reconciliation.
  • Complete invoicing on a timely basis along with follow up on unpaid invoices. Make sure purchase orders are in place prior to work startup.
  • Adhere to timely project turn around based on customer needs and making sure customer is properly informed on said projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management.
  • Five years of supervisory experience in engineering design or related is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RF and/or Fiber Design in Waldo, Ava, Aramis is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.; knowledge of MS Access, or other easy-code databases, i.e., QuickBase a plus!
  • Strong analytical and observational skills, which demonstrate the ability to: plan projects, review and recommend technical specifications, coordinate staffing needs, communicate effectively, and manage all aspects of a project.
  • Strong skills in management, financials, data analysis, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, and attention to detail.
  • History of successful customer communications and relationship management.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Effectively work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, vendors, and customers/clients of all demographics and professional levels. Also, be able to gain credibility with them to effectively complete tasks.
  • Must be willing to learn new product lines and technologies to serve departmental needs and goals.
  • Able to handle employee issues and confrontation effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Must embrace the CCI Systems vision, mission, culture, and characteristics of leadership.

Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. 
  • Travel up to 30% for this position is required.
