Shipping Coordinator - Night shift

Location: Harrisonburg, VA

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Work hours: 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. ** Work every other weekend**

Overview: Under general supervision, dock coordinator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, Raymond stand up forklifts, Raymond stand up dock loaders, and various sit-down LP trucks. Must be able to work in a 35 degrees Fahrenheit cold storage environment. Must be able to direct and train other team members on outbound/inbound labeling process and be able to assist in any situation that arises. Responsible for researching any lost inventory in Excalibur/Blue Yonder and communicate to supervisor what was found. Periodic inventory control responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage. Take inventory as needed
• Promote safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Training and assistance of all team members on labeling process for outbound loads
• Training and assistance of all team members on labeling process for inbound loads that we have to receive manually.
• Communicate to supervisor any issues during any labeling process so that the team can be aware and work on a solution
• Researching lost and damaged inventory daily and reporting to supervisor what was found and root cause
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Successful Excalibur/Blue Yonder training (will be provided)
• Prefer 1 year of Forklift experience (specific standup or sit down) in a warehouse or manufacturing environment but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new applications
• Familiarity with RFID
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license
