Who we are looking for: Housekeeping Supervisor

Shift: Full time | Sat/Sun 5:00 am - 5:30 pm and Mon/Fri 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

Location: Bowling Green, KY

Department: Operations

Reports To: Site Manager

Starting Pay: $25.00

Summary:

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial, and industrial buildings by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.

· Plan and prepare employee work schedules.

· Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action.

· Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.

· Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.

· Check equipment to ensure that it is in working order.

· Instruct staff in work policies and procedures and the use and maintenance of equipment.

· Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

· Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces.

Education and/or Experience:

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time. Travel will generally be for training.
