PURPOSE:

To oversee and manage the daily operations of the assisted living and memory care Inns, through the implementation of goals and policies of the Facility and Department of Nursing at the management level. To develop a cohesiveness unit and a continuity of care for guests; to maintain organization and supervision of the unit while delivering optimum level of care. This involves supervision of the units for the evening shift into the night shift while providing communication for day shift, seeing that each shift promotes continuity of care. Shift hours are 3:00pm to 11:30pm. This is an hourly position and the attendance policy applies per facility policy. Any deviation must be approved ahead of time by the Director of Assisted Living.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess keen observation skills, leadership skills as well as organizational and management skills; must be able to establish priorities of care with consideration given to each staff member’s work load; must have a true caring for the residents with empathy for them and their family members; must display a positive attitude with a teamwork approach.


PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS (with or without the aid of mechanical devices):

- Must be able to move frequently throughout the work day

- Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner

- Must be able to cope with physical and emotional stress of the position

- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirement of this position can be fully met

- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination

- Must have the ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.

- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 3ft. and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 10 feet.

Specific Physical Responsibilities include:

Standing: Up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift

Walking: Up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
