We're on the lookout for a dynamic Food & Beverage Front of House Manager to lead our team of F&B Enthusiasts and help to create magical dining moments for our guests. We have two amazing restaurants under our wing - PORTICO, a trendy cafe-style eatery, and KNOOP, a rooftop craft cocktail lounge. In addition, we host a variety of meetings and events in our vibrant event space and offer banquet services. With a variety of delectable F&B outlets on site, the thrill is always ongoing!

JOB SUMMARY: The F&B Front of House Manager is responsible for the overall service standards and guest experience at Knoop Rooftop Cocktail Lounge, Banquet Events and Portico Restaurant. This position will maintain an elevated level of service for our guests by ensuring our service staff follows the necessary steps of service and making sure that the F&B operations during their shift are flowing properly. This position must have a grasp on all aspects of the outlets they are responsible for and be ready to step in when they can to assist the team when needed.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensuring that the overall atmosphere for guests in the F&B outlets are consistent.
  • Daily walkthrough of areas that contain F&B operations.
  • Going over all FOH daily checklists to ensure that the staff is completing daily tasks.
  • “Table Touching” during service to ensure our guests are having the best experience possible.
  • Working with F&B director to create new innovative and creative ideas to increase revenue.
  • Cross referencing all voids and comps that occurred during service.
  • Daily payroll coding.
  • Managing labor
  • Understand how to navigate the POS system.
  • Understand the products, both food and beverage that are offered. Must be ready to field any questions from guests or new staff about these offerings
  • Oversee training of new employees and complete on boarding checklists with them.
  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas in plain sight of guests

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Food & Beverage experience
  • Supervising experience is preferred


ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Satisfactory criminal background screening required – Valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages employees in the Bar, Restaurant, and Banquet areas.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights and weekends.
