Compliance Auditor

National Spine & Pain Centers, the nation's largest interventional pain management practice, is seeking a Compliance Auditor

Based Remotely, The Compliance Auditor identifies coding, billing and documentation behavior that does not comply with Federal or State Regulations and the Compliance and Business Policies of NSPC, Contracted Health Plans and Government Program Guidelines. Auditing activities are guided by and support the Corporate Compliance Work Plan. Auditing activities are guided by and support the Corporate Compliance Work Plan.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Associates degree and at least two years of experience in E/M medical coding and/or auditing, preferably in a physician office setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.
  • Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) or Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) certification, highly preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with medical coding, anatomy and physiology, medical coding systems, and governmental and insurance billing requirements.
  • Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to analyze complex data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving, criminal, employment reference, education, and social security.

  • Must be able to develop presentations to be used with leadership and physicians as education tools
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to analyze complex data.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
