Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions. The Finance and Analytics business technology organization provides IT services to Electric, Gas, Generation and Supply Chain lines of businesses. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design and delivery.

 

Position Summary

The Expert ERP Functional Analyst, Finance is responsible for the development of IT solutions for PG&E Finance and Analytics and is well versed with all phases of the system lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support.

 

Expert ERP Functional Analyst works with the team of functional, technical experts and consultants responsible for developing/enhancing SAP modules and other applications required to support PG&E business systems. Provides subject matter expertise for SAP S4 General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Project Systems, Treasury, Tax Accounting, Group Reporting and cross functional finance integration knowledge to assure that best practices are implemented and the modules/applications are efficiently and effectively used to realize business value.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $122,000

Bay Area Maximum: $194,000

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. 

This new teammate needs to be able come to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Oakland headquarters 3 days a week, since all project team is here in the Bay Area.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consulting in ERP Systems to the client to identify and satisfy the business needs.
  • Responsible for solution design and implementation involving SAP S4 Finance along with other IT applications.
  • Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs of the clients in one or more business functional areas (may include external entities).
  • Partner with business team, technical analysts, architecture and strategy organizations to develop strategies and plans to integrate SAP to total solution.
  • Evaluate and document alternatives that will provide the most effective solutions to complex business problems.
  • Responsible for SAP RICEFW (Report, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms and workflow) objects development in supply chain area for projects, enhancements and production support.
  • Responsible to prepare requirements document, As-Is, To-Be processes and identify gaps.
  • Design system processes to bridge the gap, build proto type, prepare functional specifications, prepare test plan and test scripts.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT) and obtain business sign-off.
  • Provide SAP subject matter expertise to PG&E lines of business and ensure best practices are adapted.
  • Responsible for overall SAP solution and SAP interfaces to other SAP and non-SAP systems.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 7 years experience in IT-Information Technology
  • 5 years experience implementing or supporting an ERP system (ERP - e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle)
  • 5 years experience as a Functional Analyst

 

Desired:

  • Proficient in writing requirements document, functional specifications and preparing business process flows
  • Experience with designing new enhancement programs, reports and interfaces with non-SAP systems
  • Strong understanding of ERP interrelationships and dependencies of related modules and systems
  • Demonstrates familiarity in the following areas: testing, project management, related Lines of Business, software development, SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational/disaster recovery, operations, maintenance, etc.
  • Conform to IT methodology Application change and delivery
  • Utility experience
  • SAP S4 FICO Certification
  • SAP ABAP programming knowledge and/or debugging experience
  • CBAP-Certified Business Analysis Professional certification
