Driver / Shipping Associate 4 am Start Sun-Thu Shift

4am-12pm Monday -Thursday , 4am-4pm on Sundays

Starting at $18 hr + $1 more Shift Differential

The Shipping Associate under supervision and using established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP's and insures hands are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of safe, high quality product. Promotes good company morale. Insures all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Stages drop trailers in dock doors.
• Pulls loaded trailers from dock doors to yard, securing them with the assigned seal.
• Unloads trailers as they arrive.
• Offloads any ingredients or other material that may be delivered.
• Sweeps out and loads trucks according to load sheets, checking off stacks and/or pallets as they are loaded.
• Turns in load sheets, B.O.L., and in other forms completed during shift.
• Places all product varieties in the proper aisles and records quantity on "push in sheet".
• Keeps freezer organized and pushed up.
• Ensures proper rotation of product (first-in/first-out).
• Notifies engineering/foreperson of any equipment problems immediately.
• Monitors quality of the product, package seal, trays, dollies and coding.
• Keep entire area clean at all times.
• Perform Sanitation duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor
• Hauls and moves trailers on and off property using trucks and yard dogs
• Operates a standing, electric forklift and an electric pallet jack.
• Other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet established deadlines
• Ability to lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
• Experience with motorized pallets jacks and electric standup forklifts.
• Must have prior shipping experience
• Must have attention to detail skills
• Knowledge in excel and all products of Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to follow directions of supervisor and follow all safety rules and regulations
• Must be flexible to work weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of baking processes, equipment and terminology is desired

Work Environment:

Position is in an industrial setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions, as well as Good Manufacturing Processes compliance. Will be pushing and pulling stacks of product that may weigh as much as 250 lbs. May lift materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a recurring basis.
