$16.73 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Beachside/Cape Canaveral Public Library. Part-time/20 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings and Saturdays. Performs experienced paraprofessional library work providing assistance in circulation, youth and/or adult reference sections of the library. Work includes assisting the public with the use of computers to conduct database and Internet searches, printers, library-related services on mobile phones and eReaders, and assisting with various library programs. May provide direction to other staff members and/or volunteers.

REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years of college coursework in any field at an accredited college or university [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year];ORtwo (2) years of library or customer service experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
