What You'll Do:

Promote Safety. Work safely and efficiently on a dock, helping to load barges.

Perform General Physical Activities. Perform various tasks, including pumping, inspecting and cleaning barges. Maintain general housekeeping on the boats.

Inspect Boat and Other Equipment. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the vessel in order to ensure safe working conditions. Draft barges, inspect tanks for water, and maintain a safe work environment.

Maintain Boat and Dock. Perform cleaning on barges as well as cleaning around the dock areas, break rooms, dry-dock area, fab shop, and any other areas on the property that needs attention.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Skills You'll Need:

Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions while wearing protective equipment, including foul weather gear, life jacket, gloves and boots.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Must have knowledge of general principles and practices regarding marine safety and operations.

Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
