THE IMAGINE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
"Imagine the possibilities of your future"
The Imagine Internship Program at Cornerstone Research is a six-week experience that takes place during the summer between your junior and senior years of college/university. We have developed a comprehensive program to introduce you to different corporate functions and the culture of Cornerstone Research.
This program intends to cultivate a broader talent pipeline at the firm, by granting opportunities to students who bring a diverse perspective to the firm as a result of their adaptability, cultural fluency, resilience, and life experiences, while fostering their professional growth and skill set.
Our goal is to create accessible and equitable learning pathways to help you have exposure to a professional career path, facilitate the identification and understanding of your unique talents, professional skills, and abilities, while helping you to foster professional connections and impactful mentorship relationships with the aim of cultivating access for future career opportunities.
It is not required for you to be deeply familiar with the functions of your potential role, as our Summer Internship program will guide you through learning about your assigned role and department.
HOW YOU'LL HELP OUR TEAM SUCCEED
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Understand the operational structure of the organization and the key roles HR plays within a Consulting Firm
- Understand the recruitment process
- Understand how we benchmark for a new position
- Understand our Learning platform and process
- Learn and participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion firmwide initiatives
- Learn about the immigration process
- Learn about the new hire process and the I-9 verification process
- Complete the voluntary departure process to include paperwork
- Learn about the performance management review process and the firm's core competencies
- Partner with the HR Operations Manager on an HRIS legacy data project
- Shadow a new hire benefits orientation
- Providing a wide range of administrative support to your department's team, such as:
- Assisting with annual filing compliance
- Maintenance of our databases
- Contributing to reports
- Understanding the HR department's role in collaborating with other firm departments, including (but not limited to):
- Facilities and Administration
- Finance
- IT
- Talent
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
If the Imagine Internship Program sounds exciting to you, we encourage you to apply. We seek well-rounded, enthusiastic individuals for our Summer Intern role. Our qualifications are as follows:
- In your junior year of an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date of December 2024 - June 2025
- Interest in Human Resources
- Demonstrated excellent academic performance and campus leadership experience
- Must be willing to participate in the full 6-week program from June 12, 2024 - July 26, 2024
- Must live within commuting distance of the Cornerstone Research office, where the intern position will be located. Please see the top of this posting for the assigned Cornerstone Research office location for this role.
- While a return offer is not guaranteed post-internship, this opportunity will help to expose you/hone your skill set for future opportunities at Cornerstone Research or another organization
COMPENSATION
For all positions across all locations, we are offering a set hourly rate of $20.00/hr for 40 hours per week for 6 weeks; interns are paid bi-weekly.
