Starting Salary is $16.00 per hour

Summary/Primary Purpose: To drive truck/van for collection of donations for Pantry, Thrift Store, or other Corps programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make routine contacts for purpose of scheduling/organizing daily pick- ups of food and other donations.
• Drive truck/van to pick up donations as scheduled.
• Responsible for entering the customer/donor's residence for the donated item(s).
• Distribute donations to proper departments as required.
• Oversee loading/unloading of truck ensuring the safety of personnel and volunteers.
• Interact with donors in a positive and friendly manner.
• Responsible for truck/van maintenance and safety.
• Sort, box, organize drop box donations for storage in garage.
• Assist with warehouse processing when routes/pickups are slow or done for the day.
• Driving is an essential function of the position.
• All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: none.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience in driving 14-foot box truck, including truck into close spaces, such as docks and alleys.
