THE POSITION

Do you have supervisory experience and enjoy performing complex clerical work? If so, The Department of Revenue, Claims Section of the PA Lottery is seeking a Clerical Supervisor 2 that may be a perfect fit for you. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will be required to demonstrate a commitment to meeting expectations of the bureau and program's customers at all times. You will be expected to apply lean thinking in day-to-day tasks and be mindful of internal controls and risk management when changes are made to a process. You will have the opportunity to review information in files and Lottery systems to respond to correspondence and phone calls that have been escalated from the Clerks regarding the Claims process. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating stop payment requests on prize checks and the reissuing of checks by composing a general invoice to Treasury
  • Inspecting damaged or mutilated instant tickets
  • Issuing and tracking free tickets as appropriate
  • Processing claim forms for second chance drawing winners as a manual payment
  • Compiling information on the status of the Claims Section's work including backlogs, correspondence, W2-G forms, and production statistics
  • Recommending changes in workflow within the Claims Section to increase productivity and changes in standards and procedures regarding the claims process
  • Explaining the work of the Claims Section and allowing new employees to job-shadow as part of the new employee orientation program
  • Data entry

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1; or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3; or
  • Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience working in a call center
  • Customer service experience
