An applicant will be selected for an opportunity to serve an assignment up to 120-days as a Testing and Training Coordinator, GS-11/12, in the Office of Copyright Records. Depending on the qualification of the applicant, this is either a reimbursable short-term employment detail with no change in salary or a short-term employment promotion. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing and updating standard operating procedures and training materials
  • Create a testing plan for end-to-end user testing.
  • Develop testing scripts.
  • Support staff during end-to-end testing.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

Permanent, full-time employees of the Library of Congress in good standing with at least a satisfactory/successful performance rating. Temporary and indefinite employees are not eligible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a GS-11 for a STED.
  • Must have at least one year at the GS-11 for a GS-12 STEP.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing and updating standard operating procedures and training materials.
  • Experience developing testing plans and scripts.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to meet project goals.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a STED/STEP with no expectation of permanent placement. The incumbent will work a flexitime, compflex or variflex schedule. A combination of onsite and telework will be permitted. The position is telework-eligible with two onsite days per pay period. The dates of this assignment are projected to be April 8, 2024, through August 9, 2024. If the budget permits, rotations for additional qualified applicants may be available. The assignment may be extended at the option of the Copyright Office and agreement of all parties.
