Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.

Part-time - 20 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our supportive charter school district team for the uping 2023-2024 academic year. As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of students with diverse needs and contribute to their overall well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans based on students' goals and needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation and engagement in academic and daily activities.
  • Provide direct intervention, including therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment remendations, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Offer guidance and support to teachers and parents on strategies to promote optimal student performance and independence.
  • Stay updated with current research, trends, and best practices in the field of occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory integration techniques, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
