Salary: $19-25/hr depending on CNC experience

Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm, possibly Friday 6am-12pm


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and/or operate CNC machines or manual machines to produce quality parts to specifications
  • Maintain productivity rates for the machine being operated
  • Perform regular checks on parts using inspection equipment
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Replace tools and drills as needed, and enter tool offsets
  • Count and track total parts produced for job reporting
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the machine shop
  • Perform basic programming on CNC machines, setup on other machines, and maintenance tasks as assigned


The ideal candidate for the CNC Machinist position should possess the following qualifications: the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively, a strong sense of accountability for work quality and quantity, proficiency in reading and comprehending part drawings and specifications, experience in operating inspection equipment like calipers, micrometers, and gauges, adherence to health and safety regulations, mechanical aptitude with quick learning abilities, the capability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds, tolerance for the machine shop environment which includes exposure to noise, oil, solvents, and dust, completion of machine shop courses in high school or technical school is preferred, technical school training for CNC machines is preferable, and some prior experience in CNC machining is advantageous.
