About The Role - Who You Will Work With ...

SourceAmerica is searching for an Executive Communications Manager to join its team. The focus will be to develop and support deployment of internal and external executive communications in collaboration with business units across the organization. Work closely with Marketing Communications team members on communications strategies and corporate messaging. Provide guidance for executive staff and senior leaders for select SourceAmerica events and supports other Corporate Communications needs during surges. This position helps connect our network of over 400 Non-Profit agencies with federal procurement opportunities across the United States! Our network of Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs) perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 30,000+ people with disabilities nationally. The ideal candidate will be based near SourceAmerica's National Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC metro area).

What You Will Do ...

As an Executive Communications Manager, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview.

  • Consult with Marketing Communications team and other business units to integrate executive communications into holistic Marketing Communications plans and then deliver on strategies and tactics.
  • Research, write and edit emails, letters, feature stories, blogs, and other executive communications to support initiatives and align to organization voice and tone.
  • Create or edit senior leader presentations in collaboration with Executive and Business Leadership Team members and others as needed.
  • Provide executive communications expertise, including strategic and tactical contributions, in support of projects.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $66,022 - $98,496 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What We Are Looking For ...

  • Associate degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience including a demonstrated ability to produce effective communication strategies, media relations, or corporate communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong copywriting and editing abilities.
  • Proven leadership in developing and implementing successful corporate communication and media strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others.
  • Exceptional ability in storytelling, content creation, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with digital and social media platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to deliver with accuracy, integrity and attention to detail within established deadlines.

Preferred Bonus Points For ...

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in executive/corporate communications.
  • Experience coaching, guiding and directing senior leadership.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple ongoing communications projects simultaneously, including projects with a combination of internal and external stakeholders.
  • We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes- experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid work model-where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek-as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements. The ideal candidate will be based near SourceAmerica's National Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC area). This position has few travel requirements.
