Overview:

Egan Company is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Production Coordinator within the Industrial Controls group to support long-term business growth with new and existing customers in a variety of markets. This group is also responsible for designing control systems for various manufacturing clients. Some of the functions within this group include CAD design, hardware engineering, PLC/HMI programming, control panel assembly, and electrical installation. We are looking for operationally excellent candidates who have strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills to support the process of engineering and manufacturing complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain production schedules to ensure project deadlines and company goals are met.

  • Work with the shop foreman to fill production gaps and adjust schedules based on changes in a dynamic work environment.

  • Support PMs and account managers to proactively monitor key projects.

  • Coordination between office and shop floor to ensure production documentation and materials are available for production start.

  • Work with cross-functional department managers to set expectations and regulate short and long-term scheduling for capacity planning.

  • Manage master scheduling meetings with PMs, account managers, and engineering management.

  • Support group account managers with coordination, analytics, and scheduling needed to support long-term projects.

  • Act as a liaison between the sales staff, engineering, and production floor.

  • Work with cross-functional department teams to find solutions for material shortages.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Two-year degree / Vo-Tech certificate and/or 2 years experience in custom and high-volume manufacturing of complex electrical and mechanical equipment. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

  • Proven history of working with, and managing labor and material schedules for a variety of manufacturing industries or products.

  • Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of job scheduling and customer time-line management.

  • Desire and ability to thrive in a rapid and detail-oriented environment when interacting with a variety of co-workers.

  • Support development and continuous improvement of scheduling tools and processes.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects at a time.

  • Robust, accurate, fast, and detail-oriented computer skills.

  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • Knowledgeable in Industrial automation, controls integration, UL 508A Panel Shop Solutions, and familiarity with OEM and manufacturing controls-related business opportunities.

  • Deep technical understanding of industrial control panels and electrical industry components and suppliers.

  • Ability to read and interpret specs and blueprints to ensure manufacturability of product.

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
