Job Description

The Hydraulic Valve Systems Division is part of the Motion Systems Group of Parker Hannifin Corporation and consists of these locations: Elyria, OH, Hicksville, OH, Forest City, NC and Lincolnshire, IL.

The principal business focus of the Hydraulic Valve Division is leading innovative valve solutions that deliver maximum overall value and a preferred partner to our customers in key markets and relentless commitment to our key end markets through focused innovative solutions, uncompromising customer service & world class quality that deliver exemplary results.

Ensures maximum cost effectiveness and the reliability of manufacturing processes and workflow. Determines the methods and sequence of manufacturing operations for intricate and/or complex products and machine parts and assemblies; ensures products and processes meet customer quality requirements. Provides producibility input and manufacturing plans for product design or modification.

Responsible for carrying out design and development assignments connected with manufacturing equipment and processes including: tools, jigs, and special equipment to achieve desired production rates and quality standards.

1.Provides the Plant Manager recommendations of alternate process and method approaches for manufacturing equipment.

2.Utilizes the Parker Lean system to drive permanent improvement. Investigates and analyzes the cost and reliability of using various equipment and processes.

3.Studies performance and problems in existing tools, equipment and methods and recommends improvements through redesign or modification.

4.Estimates costs of assigned projects together with a satisfactory delivery schedule. Implements team-oriented projects with structured accountability.

5.Assumes responsibility for the introduction of new equipment, under jurisdiction and form, making sure that manufacturing personnel are adequately trained.

6.Makes layouts and detail drawings of equipment assigned.

7.Cooperates with other departments to develop most practical specifications for materials, processes and equipment.

8.Keeps abreast of all new development in equipment and/or processes that could be adapted to improve manufacturing processes.

9.Performs other duties as assigned or as dictated by responsibility.

-BSME/BSEE or MS manufacturing systems.

-5 years minimum experience in implementing automation equipment.

-Manufacturing experience.

-Machine tool proficiency.

-Strong Lean background.

-Good communications skills.

-Labview experience preferred

-Honing knowledge preferred
