Duties and Responsibilities

The Med Tech assists in developing, coordinating, and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the resident’s preferences and abilities
Maintains and documents in the Medication Assistance Record
Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan
Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care.
Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.
Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.

Qualifications

Must hold a caregiver certification and/or credentials in accordance with state law and complete the medication pass competency.
Must be able to pass a background check
Must have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations
Must complete all state-required training as necessary
High school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience
Must demonstrate freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis upon hire and annually
Understand and communicate in English at an 8th-grade level.
