Overview:
ARC is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer with extensive XML parsing expertise to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cloud services division, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient XML parsing solutions to support our cloud-based applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain XML parsing functionalities within our cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define specifications for XML data processing.
- Implement efficient parsing algorithms and techniques to handle large XML datasets with optimal performance.
- Integrate XML parsing solutions with other cloud services and APIs to enable seamless data exchange.
- Develop automated tests and ensure the reliability and accuracy of XML parsing functionalities.
- Optimize XML parsing processes for speed, memory usage, and resource efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest XML standards, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our parsing capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers on XML parsing-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of 10+ years in software development with a focus on Python programming.
- Extensive experience in XML parsing and manipulation using Python libraries such as lxml, xml.etree.ElementTree, or BeautifulSoup.
- Solid understanding of XML schema definitions (XSD), XPath, XQuery, and other XML-related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex XML parsing issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
