Job Description
Stable, growth-oriented, customer-focused Auto Collision Repair company is in need of a General Manager experienced in the Auto Body Repair environment. The rapid growth of our company in this area has created the demand for someone who can step in and immediately hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have strong leadership abilities, detailed oriented, a passion for timeliness and excellence, and the ability to communicate to and coordinate all departments in an organization. Essential Duties
- Responsible for the planning and scheduling of workflow from estimating through final preparation and delivery
- Develop tracking reports on current production status
- Function as the leader of purchasing, repair, assembly, paint and final preparation departments
- Schedule and coordinate all departments for timely completion of auto body repairs and delivery to the customer
- Correctly assess the optimum solution regarding required parts and the best source for those parts. Maintain inventory and eliminate obsolescence
- Coordinate with departments leaders to resolve issues in a timely fashion regarding budget, delivery, quality and service
- Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes
Job Experience and Requirements
- Minimum ten (10) years in production planning and scheduling experience in an auto body collision repair shop environment
- Experience with parts purchasing and inventory management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage both direct reports and production capacity
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute effective and efficient production planning and scheduling processes
- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Organizational skills in prioritizing, planning and implementing
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Above average “People Skills” and leadership qualities
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English is required
