Job Summary:
The Calibration Support Technician is responsible for assisting the Metrology Technician, as applicable, in the completion of calibrations of critical instruments, systems and equipment. This position also assists in completing documentation and computer entry in the calibration program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the in-house calibrations on critical instrumentation.
- Movement of test weights and equipment.
- Coordination escorting of external calibration providers.
- Coordination in sending instrumentation out for external calibration.
- Calibration data entry within the ProCal system.
- Ordering parts and equipment associated with Critical Measuring Tools.
- Verification of external vendor calibration reports.
- Assist in the completion of discrepancy investigations related to the calibration program.
- Communicating third party scheduled calibrations on site to key personnel.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office
- Knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Organized, Thorough, Neat
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged standing
- Repeating motion that may include wrists, hands, and fingers
Work Hours:
- Non-Exempt Position; Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Minimum of 40-45 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule.
- Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities.
