We are seeking a SAS Developer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for creating and modifying computer application software or specialized utility programs.

Overview:

This requirement is open with our client and the client is a leading provider of mortgage financing in the United States. We are currently seeking a talented Senior SAS Developer to join our team at our McLean, VA location. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in SAS, SQL, UNIX, Sybase, DB2, Shell Scripting, and Control-M (or AutoSys).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop code for data-centric software applications using SAS, SQL, UNIX, Sybase, DB2, and Shell Scripting.
  2. Assist in the implementation of Regulatory Reporting product vision.
  3. Design and develop scalable and reliable data solutions to meet business requirements.
  4. Utilize ETL techniques and tools, including SAS, SQL, and UNIX, to extract, transform, and load data.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex data sources, including databases and text data files, and derive insights to support business decisions.
  6. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the development and implementation process.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in ETL development using SAS, SQL, and UNIX.
  3. Strong proficiency in Shell Scripting, DB2, and/or Sybase.
  4. Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M or AutoSys.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sources.
  6. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Experience in the financial services industry or with regulatory reporting is a plus.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
