Intake Coordinator & Receptionist
Vascular & Wound Clinic
(Yakima, WA)

Washington State has some of the highest rates per capita of Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) and amputations in the country. Combining best in class wound care technologies, along with advanced, early Vascular Screening and treatments with minimally invasive office based procedures, this partnership will include leading providers in wound care along with a well-established, successful integrated wound care and Vascular Medicine Practice. Community Vascular Washington will treat those with severe PVD, prevent amputations, and improve the outcomes of tens of thousands of patients.

Main Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
Support and assist the Community Vascular clinical staff in a brand new Wound and Vascular clinic
Responsible for front desk/reception duties such as chart maintenance, answering phone calls, and patient scheduling
Register patients, completing necessary documentation, and create or pull existing charts as needed
Compile and process all requests for medical records both internally and externally
Ensure that all diagnostic, test results, imaging, and patient information is complete and ready for the physician to review prior to procedures
Handle referrals and communicate as necessary with outside providers
Maintain systems to ensure timely patient flow
Provide a warm and welcoming environment by communicating well with patients, families, co-workers, and others
Be a leader in motivating and encouraging patients and patient caregivers
Accomplish other tasks as assigned

Skills required to succeed:
Bilingual: English and Spanish
1+ years experience working in a medical office setting
Knowledge of insurance plans and HIPPA compliance
Multiple phone line experience
Familiar with EMR systems
This fast-paced position requires sitting for extended amounts of time
Must maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and safety
Leadership qualities with the ability to work well within a team of healthcare providers
Proficient in MS Office (specifically Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Must be self-motivated, punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently
Ability to respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services
Acute attention to detail with a strong, self-sufficient work ethic
Excellent organization and use of time management skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
Ability to function effectively in stressful situations
Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude

Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 hourly DOE
This position is classified as: Hourly, Non-Exempt; Full-Time employment
Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday; varied hours between 8:00am 5:00pm, no nights
