Dulles area, business casual office, seeks a Senior Enterprise Software Development Project Lead.

General Description:

Manage, administer and oversee the IT Software Development projects of the department as directed. Responsible for delivery of quality software solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the executive staff to establish Software Development goals related to enhanced customer service and commercial applications.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using analysis and testing to improve performance.
  • Assists in system planning, scheduling and implementation.
  • Assists in Design of software solution and implementation of the solution.
  • Provides production support and maintenance as needed.
  • Builds enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs
  • Provide technical guidance to IT Staff to plan and execute projects.
  • Ensure that the IT Staff have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
  • Work with the IT Infrastructure team to deliver top quality service by inclusive planning and partnership between the Development team and the Infrastructure team.
  • Tracking and reporting the status of projects on various teams, acting as a gateway through which work should be assigned to appropriate team members while ensuring that project scope is adequately defined.
  • Demonstrate to our commercial and internal clients deployment of software enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules.
  • Demonstrate a software plan that meets the future needs of our commercial and internal clients on technical challenges of industry demands.
  • Serve as the development team point of contact in all client meetings which have implemented the company’s products.
  • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed.
  • Performs other duties and projects as required

General Qualification Guidelines:

Experience, Education and Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development organization required. Experience in computer programming using Microsoft .Net Core and other .Net Standard Frameworks, API REST based web services, Kendo UI, MVC architecture, ELMAH Exception handing framework and NLog logging framework, Azure, Javascript & Jquery. Working knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server. Experience maintaining the software versions using Microsoft TFS tool.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge and experience of the software development cycle.

Strong project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Strong cloud Computing skills and Azure experience.

Large enterprise application development experience preferred.

Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Strong ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Must have demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

Must be a team player and able to collaborate to collaborate efficiently with global customer

Able to lift approximately 15 – 20 lbs.
