Job Description

Position Summary: The Busser assists in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The Busser is responsible for cleaning and resetting tables, keeping beverage glasses full, and bringing guest's needs to the attention of our Servers. Additionally, the Busser assists other restaurant staff, as needed, to provide excellent service for our guests.

Requirements:

Must meet age requirements of 16+.

Must have valid Food Handler Certification

Must have valid Identification to work in the United States

Hours may vary and you must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, including superior sanitation and cleanliness controls
  • Prepare dining room by cleaning and clothing tables, setting condiments and utensils
  • Deliver food to tables quickly and accurately
  • Maintain table settings by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses and being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
  • Answer guest questions about menu items
  • Assist kitchen and wait staff with various tasks
  • Deliver used plates and utensils to dishwasher to be cleaned
  • Close dining facilities by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and/or vacuuming floors and removing trash
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary bussing station
  • Work with a diverse set of co-workers as a cohesive team
  • Attend all mandatory in-house trainings

  • Proficiency in the following restaurant functions: food and beverage service, sanitation, company policies and procedures
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment
  • Good organizational skills and time management skills
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with guests, other employees and restaurant management
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems
  • Must have, and maintain, the appropriate NM Food Handler permit
  • Ability to arrive on-time and work shifts as scheduled
  • Previous experience a plus
