CNC Drafter/CAD-Cam Programmer:
Must demonstrate ability to write computer programs, read blue prints. Requires reading comprehension, knowledge of mathematics and use of active listening skills. Other important skills are critical thinking, logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems. The programmer will often instruct others as well as actively continuing their own learning. Time management techniques are also a big plus. . Pay is based on experience.
As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you'll be responsible for creating machine programs with the use of CAD and CAM software within a fabrication or engineering firm. The main duties of a CAD/CAM Programmer include: Creating 2D CNC CAD programs. Updating and maintaining material and consumable stock lists. Preparing quotations.
