Veterinary Assistant

Rising Sun Veterinary Clinic is a rural mixed animal veterinary clinic that has been serving the community for over 70 years!

All employees at Rising Sun Veterinary Clinic are cross-trained to learn all aspects of the daily work flow in our clinic. These trainings include handling animals, cleaning, receptionist duties, assisting clients and their pets.

Rising Sun Veterinary clinic is a full service clinic offering basic preventative medicine to dogs, cat and farm animals as well as offering in-house lab, radiology, ultrasound and alternative therapies to our clients. We pride ourselves on our thinking outside the box attitudes and making animal healthcare affordable to clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

Assisting Veterinarian and registered veterinary technician staff with animal procedures, kennel duties, cleaning facility, computer data input, and assisting clients with their pets in person and on the phone.

Qualifications

Must have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic and take pride in your work. Must be willing to learn under pressure and adapt to ever changing situations quickly. Computer skills are a must as well. Experience in the veterinary field is a plus for applicants. High school diploma required. Flexible schedule is also required.
