Position Description: Options Medical Weight Loss is the nations premier weight loss clinic, offering over 30 different medically supervised weight loss programs, which we customize to meet the needs of each individual patient. We even have our own line of food! We serve communities in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida, and are rapidly expanding.
Options Medical Weight Loss is looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the companys finances.
Under general direction, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for accounts payable procedures for multiple properties along with some general bookkeeping and accounting related duties. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities
\tPost and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
\tPerform reconciliations of bank accounts and other general ledger accounts
\tReconcile accounts receivable
\tFull cycle accounts payable updates and reconciliations
\tProcess vendor inquiries and maintain vendor files
\tAssist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
\tAssist with review of expenses
\tPrepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
\tAssist in the preparation of month end and year end closings
\tProvide assistance on special projects and tasks as directed by the Controller
Required Education/Experience : Requirements and Skills - Requirements and skills
\t1 3 years accounting experience
\tDetail oriented and excellent organizing abilities
\tGood understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices and an analytical acumen
\tAble to work in a fast-paced environment
\tExcellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with Sage
\tCPA is a plus but not required
\tBSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
