Batch Plant Operator- Concrete

Position Summary

This position would require monitoring, adjusting, and operating of the batching of material to our production team. Must be available for full shift of up to twelve hours daily. Attention to detail is required in order to accurately blend mixes.

Duties / Responsibilities

This position requires, detail-oriented, computer-savvy person. Must be able to keep up with daily production needs. They use on-the-job experience and common sense to work through issues and keep equipment running in the right direction. Must be able to operate equipment and able to read and analyze programmable logic controllers (PLC)s.

Job Qualifications (list the minimum education, formal training, skills and experience required)

• Demonstrates accuracy in basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
• Understands, follows, and transmits oral and written instructions.
• Effectively communicates with coworkers and members of other departments using radio and phone.
• Must be able to read programming logic controllers (PLC)s
• Demonstrates ability to remain calm and utilize good decision-making skills in an environment with multiple tasks needing to be done on a tight deadline.
• Must be available during the entire shift of 12 hours and some weekends.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively organize, prioritize and plan multiple different pours at the same time.
• Demonstrates ability to consistently meet deadlines by having mud in the truck at the time it has been ordered for (plus or minus ten minutes).
• Pass respirator fit test (must be clean-shaven) and wear respirator when necessary.
• Complete other tasks as assigned with proper supervision.
• Understands, follows, and transmits oral and written instructions.
• Maintains a clean work area, including keeping batch plants free of safety hazards.
• Contributes to company morale and goals through a positive attitude and commitment to quality.
• Work both independently and as a team player to complete tasks according to production schedule.
