BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):

Provide excellent guest service in the Warehouse 101, Whitecaps, Banquets and Gaming Floor. Enter guest orders into Micros and deliver it tableside as required. Assist Bartender as required. This position may be cross trained as needed in other Food and Beverage Departments to help with business demands.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Assist in opening and closing side work as required.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner
  • Answer questions on food and beverage menus, transport food & beverages to guests using tray service at all times.
  • Maintain alcohol awareness at all times and communicate this with the bartender.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):

  • Prior food and/or beverage service experience required.
  • Must have ability to obtain valid OLCC and food handler permit
  • Previous experience in hospitality field with demonstrated excellent guest service abilities.
  • Must be able to handle stress and all levels of cliental under pressure.
  • Must meet health and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands; to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently, bend, twist, reach and be otherwise physically limber as duties necessitate. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
