Hospitality Corporate Controller 

 

HMV is an innovative, fast growing hotel ownership group that acquires, develops, and manages both select service and mid-market hotels.  Headquartered in Charlotte, NC. We continually strive to set high fiscal standards for our investors.  HMV is aggressively seeking a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and finance operations at our corporate office in Charlotte. 

 

Based: Charlotte NC 

Reports to: CEO & CFO  

 

General Responsibility “Champion of HMV Finances”: 

Ensure the proper, timely and accurate performance of Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annual accounting and reporting functions and procedures. 

Ensure the proper, timely and accurate compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Maintain and manage HMV finances and financial portfolio. 

Actively participate on the HMV Strategic Planning Committee. 

Support the development of HMV’s annual Business Plan and the budget process. 

In accordance with the Inform System of Accounting for the hotel industry. 

Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and ensure development and adherence to HMV’s accounting policies and Standard Operating Procedures. 

Participate in and provide support in corporate leadership team meetings. 

 

Primary Functions: 

          Primary Functions to be discussed at face-to face interview. 

 

Expectations: 

        Should have a high command of Micro-Soft Applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. 

        Knowledge of back office or accounting systems including SAP, SUN, Sage, M3, Inflow, etc. 

        Knowledge Hotel Software or Property Management systems, ONQ, FOSSE, OPERA, Sky touch 

        Choice Advantage, SynXis, etc. 

        Excellent communication and negotiation expertise. 

        Fluent in English, both oral and written.
