Responsibilities

The Caylor Nickel Foundation Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Personal Trainer to join our team by conducting personal training sessions and fostering relationships with YMCA members while walking them through a safe and effective wellness journey.

• Connect: Build effective, authentic relationships with the client and establish appropriate goals.
• Support: Encourage each client through their exercise program journey and help them succeed.
• Develop: Create programs and schedules that allow members to reach their wellness potential.
  

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• Minimum of 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• May have a four-year degree in Exercise Science, PE, or other health-related field.
• Must have and maintain valid certifications outlined by position or ability to become certified.
• Must possess strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and staff.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part-time $18.50-$19.00 hourly

Hours Available: Client-based shifts are available.
