Licensed Nurse

Rural Psychiatry Associates is currently recruiting for a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. At Rural Psychiatry Associates it is our mission to bring skilled providers and quality care to people and locations that otherwise are unable to easily access mental health services. Rural Psychiatry Associates provides mental health care, in person and through the use of telemedicine, to patients of all ages through hospitals, clinics, schools and senior living facilities throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Utah and Alaska. Hours of this position will be an eight (8) hour shift between the hours of 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

The Licensed Nurse will be responsible for:

• Implement nursing care according to the priority of needs and established practices under the direction of Psychiatrists, Physician Assistant, and Nurse Practitioner (mid-levels);
• Update patient medication information when changes are made and enter into patient's record;
• Effectively communicate with patients, guardians, insurance companies, psychiatrists, mid-levels, and pharmacies;
• Perform a wide variety of clerical nursing support duties for the clinical team;
• Contributes to the ongoing assessment of the patient/family/guardians needs and collaborates with the psychiatrists and mid-levels to meet those needs;
• Protect confidential information unless obligated by law to disclose the information;
• Initiates and completes all relevant documentation within organizational time frames;
• Follows chain of command for conflict resolution; and
• Performs related duties as required

Applicants must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of North Dakota, Minnesota and Utah or have the ability to become licensed in those states upon hire.

Travel to other Rural Psychiatry Associates clinic sites will be required in a rotation.
