Victim Assistance Coordinator

The City of Rawlins is seeking applications for the position of Victim Assistance Coordinator.

Works under the general supervision of the Police Chief or a Lieutenant as assigned.

May provide close general supervision to Victim Advocates, fulltime, part-time or volunteer clerical staff while in training or on a case-by-case basis.

Performs a variety of first-line supervisory, professional and administrative duties as needed to assist victims of crime through the judicial process by providing support, advocacy and information regarding the legal process, investigation process, and resources such as shelter, treatment, education, legal assistance and financial aid.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

1. Graduation from college with a bachelor's degree in criminology, behavioral science, psychology, sociology, counseling, or related field:
2. AND
3. Four(4) years of responsible or related duties
4. OR
5. An equivalent combination of education and experience
