THE INS AND OUTS OF THIS ROLE

We provide our Animal Shelter Manager - Kennel Supervisor a competitive wage that starts at $20 per hour. This position typically works Monday to Friday with weekend availability and occasional holidays. But wait! YOUR DAY AS AN ANIMAL SHELTER MANAGER - KENNEL SUPERVISOR

As our Animal Shelter Manager - Kennel Supervisor, your role will involve providing exceptional care for our boarders, shelter pets, and occasionally pets requiring specialized medical attention. You'll ensure the well-being and comfort of all animals under your care by feeding, medicating, bathing, and cleaning as needed. You'll also play a vital role in marketing shelter animals, coordinating adoption readiness with our hospital staff, and facilitating group play times for dogs, cats, and other companion animals. Additionally, you'll maintain cleanliness within the shelter facility, follow disease control measures, and participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new assistants. Your dedication to gentle and compassionate Fear Free care will contribute to the overall well-being of the animals. Continuous learning and effective communication with our hospital staff will enable you to provide the best possible care.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of supervisory and leadership experience in animal care
• 5+ years of kennel work experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the hospital medical team and follow established protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possesses a genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to provide the best care possible
