Kelli Morgan, MD is looking for a motivated physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join her team at Bardstown Dermatology, a VitalSkin affiliate, in Bardstown, KY. The ideal candidate is a professional, dependable, adaptable and humble team player who is eager to learn under direct physician supervision.

Alongside Dr. Morgan and her highly-trained team, you’ll assist with providing general dermatology services for a growing patient base. You’ll join a state-of-the-art practice with cutting-edge technology, including Modernizing Medicine – a top ranked, specialty-specific EHR and engagement tool. This is a full-time position that complements the schedule of the overseeing provider.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general dermatology procedures under physician supervision.

  • Communicate changes in patient conditions to physician.

  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, families and other healthcare personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.

  • Demonstrate proficiency and graduated autonomy within scope of general dermatology practice over the course of several months.

  • Record patient’s health history in electronic medical record system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from accredited PA program. Or if an NP, be a registered nurse (RN), hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), have completed an NP-focused graduate master’s or doctoral nursing program and have successfully passed a national NP board certification exam.

  • Minimum two years of experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in family medicine.

  • PA/NP licensure in the state where employed.

  • Must have prescriptive authorization.

  • Communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.

  • Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.

  • Be positive, open and flexible to learning new skills for various procedures.

  • Maintain license through ongoing continuing medical education credits as required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working and providing care in a dermatology clinic.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and working at a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times.
