TMAM has identified on-site supportive services as a critical contributor to managing outstanding communities for our residents. TMAM was recently awarded a federal grant to implement the Family- Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program at our affordable housing property, and we are seeking a FSS Coordinator to provide case management or coaching to residents. The full-time (32 hours a week) FSS Coordinator will be responsible for helping residents enroll into the on-site program, access community services, overcome barriers to employment, strengthen their financial capability, and support residents in reaching their goals.

Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position Include:

· Creating awareness and interest in the FSS program by conducting ongoing outreach and recruitment.

· Developing a contract of participation with each FSS resident and guiding them in developing appropriate and achievable self-sufficiency goals.

· Monitoring FSS residents’ progress by maintaining contact, making community referrals, providing workshops and educational opportunities at the property, and updating the needs of the FSS residents.

· Training FSS residents in life skills such as budgeting, decision-making, problem solving, and conflict resolution.

· Collaborating closely with other departments and programs within the company.

· Attending FSS committee and community meetings that relate to the administration of the FSS functions.

· Establishing working relationships with service providers and local organizations to ensure a continuum of services.

· Calculating escrow account credits and monitoring escrow balances.

· Developing ongoing strategies to improve delivery of content and quality to the FSS

· residents.

· Meeting program documentation requirements by maintaining accurate, objective, complete, timely and well-organized household records, both electronic and hard copy.

· Conducting activities linked to program evaluation and managing program demographic and outcome data.

· Participating in all required training to ensure professional growth.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Human Services with 2 years of experience providing direct service in a private or non-profit social service organization OR 3 years equivalent work experience providing direct service in a private or non-profit social service organization.

· Knowledgeable of referral process and working knowledge of local services.

· Ability to work with diverse populations.


Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:

· Master's Degree in Social Work/Human Services with 2 years of experience providing direct service in a private or non-profit social service organization.

· Knowledgeable of referral process and working knowledge of local services.

· Ability to work with diverse populations.


Essential Functions:

· Ability to sit and to stand for a minimum of two (2) hours.

· Ability to climb stairs.

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
