THE OPPORTUNITY

Candidates for the Staff Accountant position must have strong analytical skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking candidates with experience in some the following areas:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements and/or reports.
  • Processing journal entries, and/or other accounting transactions.
  • Drafting, validating and/or adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Researching and correcting financial errors and anomalies identified in various financial reports.
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting various ad-hoc financial reports, summaries and other information to members of management.
  • Working in a team environment and independently.

Job Requirements

  • Work requires a highly motivated self-starter with attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and communicates effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and business functions.
  • Ability to learn quickly, possess strong analytical skills and multi-task.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, specifically, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of progressively responsible experience in federal accounting and/or financial management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another other Business-Related degree.
  • CPA candidate and/or CGFM preferred, but not required.
  • Work requires a willingness to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines
  • Our federal clients require individuals to complete a background investigation and credit check, as well as, the ability to obtain a security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
