About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a DG Junior Sales Analyst to work in the Philadelphia Corporate office. The DG Junior Sales Analyst will be responsible for supporting the DG Account Team in maintaining the total relationship with Dollar General by providing the account with exceptional customer service, developing, executing, and conveying critical information and reports to internal and external contacts, and ensuring an overall high degree of accuracy, execution and customer satisfaction on all sales and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a dialed-down analysis of the DG 1010 data to assist the Sales team and Purchasing department, including but not limited to:
  • Provides a monthly recap of specific data above to help DG Account Manager to create weekly presentations for the Dollar General buyers/executives
  • Updates Heat Maps after each reset to visually communicate hot performers and weak performers
  • Assists in data analysis for any special project sets for Dollar General
  • pOpshelf reporting both everyday and seasonally with monthly recaps on key drivers
  • Learn the DG seasonal allocation process to help drive this process further down the road – ensuring best allocation of goods across multiple designs for best sell-thru
  • In-depth seasonal analysis during each season and at the completion of the seasonal – in coordination with the Retail Marketing Specialist
  • Aid in new/remodel/relocation analysis of store conversions and key trend lines
  • Interacts with and assists the National Accounts team on a daily basis to maintain overall customer satisfaction and ‘Team Effort’
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel
  • Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment
  • Professional telephone & email manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required; undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of sales support and/or customer service experience required; 3 or more years preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
