Position Summary:

Nevada Dental Benefits Ltd., is seeking full time receptionists to support the delivery of patient centered care in a new, state of the art, integrated medical facility located in Las Vegas, NV. The new, innovative center provides coordinated medical, dental and vision primary care to a diverse patient population. We are looking for receptionists that have a desire to motivate patients and encourage excellent oral health as an important part of overall health and wellbeing. We are a team of health professionals motivated by providing excellent care and customer service.

The Center:

Located in the city of Las Vegas, NV, this new, innovative Center provides coordinated medical, dental and vision primary care to a diverse patient population working in the service industries in Las Vegas. The dental facility contains 17 state-of-the-art operatories, supported by a sophisticated Electronic Health Record/Practice Management Solution, digital radiography, digital imaging, and associated technologies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Attend to patients on the phone and in person. Co-ordinate and organize appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental office.

  • greet patients
  • register new patients according to established office protocols
  • assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
  • verify and update patient information
  • inform patients of dental office procedures and policy
  • manage patient information in the office practice management system
  • maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
  • answer and manage incoming calls
  • respond and comply to requests for information
  • schedule patient appointments
  • review daily appointment schedule
  • organize referrals to other medical specialists
  • collect and post payments from patients at time of treatment
  • prepare and mail billing statements
  • prepare claim forms for dental insurance
  • sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • maintain a professional reception area
  • safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

Education and Experience

  • knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
  • knowledge of computer and familiarity with dental practice management software

Compensation:

Salary compensation will be based on experience and skills. The Receptionist will be a full time employee of the company and as such will be eligible for benefits provided for employees at similar employment levels.
